Locations Guy Fieri visits in the USA - Places to eat comfort home-style, healthy, gourmet & fast food meals!
Going on strong for over 20 years at the time of our final visit, the Back Street Bistro had been
serving smiles ever since to satisfied customers. This very popular New Mexico restaurant is quite unique as it carries its roots from Brooklyn
while based out of Santa Fe. Back Street Bistro keeps it hearty and simple with homemade Soups and baked Pies in this New York style Deli
atmosphere. For Thanksgiving, the Back Street Bistro created a Smoked Turkey Soup with Wild Rice that is their top seller along with their
Hungarian Mushroom Soup and a handful of handcrafted Sandwiches. For dessert, Back Street Bistro offers some of the best Pies in the city and
their Pumpkin Pie served seasonally is a standout for sure. It's also important to mention that Back Street Bistro also was awarded the Top 10
eateries from SFR's 2017 Restaurant Guide - well earned and a respected accolade. The owner over the years also earned his nickname of the Soup
Rabbi and later the Duke of the Soup. Opening up in 1996, unfortunately they had closed their business and Counter Culture has taken up their
space as they had closed shop in 2017. 21 years of amazing service, this place is no more and is sorely missed by locals and fans of the Diners,
Drive-Ins and Dives series.
