This is without any doubt the official, Tallahassee's Farm-to-Table restaurant and there is good reason the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives crew made their way here. In fact, it was the first time that Guy took his red corvette to the city of Tallahassee and made his way straight to the Backwoods Crossing. Backwoods Crossing is a contemporary restaurants which deals with fresh, local and organic ingredients to prepare some of the most unique and amazing dishes we've come across. After well over 1,500 diners, this one truly stands out and will impress you. The Rice brothers whom started and run the Backwoods Crossing have revolutionized farm-to-table cuisine and continue to help evolve it to the mainstream. The Garden Creations menu especially stands out as it rotates each week with new items to choose from. The creativity is alive and well and something other restaurants should inspire to create. Menu is often seasonal which makes it fun and exciting, you truly never know what you'll get when you arrive. With well over 4 acres of farm land to utilize, the menu options truly are endless. We've had the pleasure to visit Backwoods Crossing and some highlights in our memory include the Caprese Sandwiches, Beer Battered Breaded Fries, incredible Cheesecake, Scallops, Blueberry Mojito, Beast Burger, Apple Brie Chicken, Blue Corn Crab Bisque, Fried Catfish Sandwich and more. Again, a wonderful spot that truly cares about quality and sustainability too.
