Believe it or not, Bocadillos as it is today is a very successful and popular diner which got its rustic start by selling homemade Burritos from the back of a car. Simple beginnings paired with plenty of dedication, effort and will.. Bocadillos evolved in to the amazing location we are happy to recommend today. There is a reason Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives featured this restaurant on the Food Network so many years ago. At Bocadillos, you must try their famous Turkey and Avocado Sandwich which is loaded with fresh Chili-Apple Chutney unlike anything you've every had before. We also strongly recommend the Duke City Reuben Sandwich to get your fill of goodness, however, don't you dare leave without trying the Biscuits and Green Chili Gravy. However, as is the case with a handful of diners featured on the television series, Bocadillos has closed it's doors and is no longer in operation. After a tremendously successful decade of service, this Albuquerque favorite closed it's doors at the end of 2022. The primary reason, as was the case with thousands of restaurants across the USA, the pandemic closures forced their hand and forced them to shut down. The Chef was even nominated as a semi-finalist for a James Beard Award. Other memorable meals we've had here include their Creamy Chicken and Mushroom Soup, classic Cuban Sandwich, Pasta Salad and literally all the Sandwiches as all meats were slow roasted in-house. This place will be missed.
