One of the few Cajun based cuisines you'll find in the state of TN, but well worth the effort as we agree it's just like eating in the South. You really can't go wrong with any of the classics served such as the Stuffed Pork Chops or Crawfish Boil with House Smoked Sausage that is unlike any other sausage you've ever had - we promise. What we love is that these folks do it right.. and everything on-site. This include their amazing on-site smokehouse that we'll admit is the secret to their longstanding success. Originally from Lafayette, they have brought their skills, knowledge and experience to Nashville! Home-cooked food is a way of life and to be able to experience it at a restaurant - is truly a rare feat. Cajun and Creole cooking isn't something you simply Google or YouTube to learn. Instead, it's something that has to be passed down through generations of cooking. Opened since 1988, they are going strong after so many successful decades of service in the neighborhood. From the outside first impression, sure it's a dive but that is what makes it so amazing and memorable. Places that focus on the bells and whistles on the outside often suffer in quality and respect on the inside. What's waiting for you when you get here is something that will truly make you smile and get you thinking about your next visit.
