If you're a fan of BBQ then this is by far one of the best barbecue spots in the entire state of Texas. We completely endorse this spot and we urge you
to try out any of their amazing award-winning selections. First and foremost, please be aware that these folks at Desert Oak are opened only from
Wednesday through Saturday. Also, while they open their doors at 11am sharp, they stay open until they are SOLD OUT. So be sure, and again, we want
to make this clear, be sure to come as early as possible to get the best best of the best before it's truly gone. From their start in 2015, Richard and
Suzanne Funk have run a smooth, welcoming operation that they can be proud of. Family run restaurants are always the best because they treat the
customer as family, unlike this big corp chains whom have lost that sense and treat you like a number. They pick and select their own Oak for their
BBQ and it's a key aspect to each dish. It's all done the old-fashioned way through time, patience and skill. Nothing is rushed or mass produced. All
mains and side-dishes are delicious and each has their own magical uniqueness. A tiny spot with plenty of heart, one of our favorites.
