We really adore this Puerto Rican based diner that knows how to prepare the authentic dishes the way they are back in the home country. A real treat if you visit here as you'll be hooked on the amazing textures and flavors they prepare. We suggest you order the Ropa Vieja on your first visit if you're new to the cuisine.. it's beyond good and will hit the spot. This simple eatery in the heart of San Antonio allows you to explore Comfort Foods from Puerto Rico. If you're really hungry, we encourage you to take full advantage of the lunch buffet menu. It's a wonderful opportunity to try a bit of everything and more of what you actually love. Cuban food is a favorite over in the US, and El Bohio delivers on this incredible and diverse cuisine with style. You can find so many popular Cuban style dishes here such as their Yuca Frita, Tostones, Fried Carnitas & Mofongo and much more. The food is plentiful and priced well. We appreciate the genuine and appreciative service here as well, as that is something that is severely lacking in today's culinary world. Again, the buffet options is the way to go to get your absolute best value and we take advantage each time we visit. However, in recent rumblings we have heard that El Bohio may have closed this location and we surely hope that this is not the case and just a rumor. But just in case, be sure to call ahead and ensure that they are still open for business.
