When visiting the South US States, this is one of those places that you just simply cannot pass-up. In our experience here, it is just that good of an eatery that we strongly advise you to eat here. Some of the best comfort-style food that you've always heard about, now you can try it at Fuel Charleston. A familiar story of a former gas station location, it has been totally renovated for some great eats. Before we get in to the rest, we must remind ourselves and our readers, that the Jerk Chicken Sandwich offered here is second to none. From our experience, this spot is a wonderful marriage of Caribbean flavors with traditional Pub grub - it's an exciting menu that never fails to please even the harshest of food critics. First and foremost, we adore that fact that they've completely redone the 1950's-era gas station to the popular eatery that stands today. Smack dab in the middle of the beating heart of downtown Charleston, they've been packed full daily since they opened their doors in 2008. They have a full bar and one of the highlights at Fuel remains their oversized outside patio - which we highly recommend for those warm Charleston nights. In addition the Jerk Chicken Sandwich we've mentioned, some other greats here include their Cantina Burger, side order of Sweet Plantains, authentically prepared Mexican-style Corn, Shrimp Tacos, Fried Chicken on Waffles and more. Point being, everything here offered at Fuel truly is packed with flavorful and delicious ingredients. Such an amazing staff as well, and also a perfect spot to just grab a drink and chill. Always a hit when we visit, we strongly advise it.
