Our latest addition to the Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives collection includes this gem of a place, Hai Hai. Here, you'll get full exposure to authentic Vietnamese street food with a modern 2024 touch. Bright and colorful atmosphere that is always inviting, pleasant and memorable. Hai Hai isn't juts all talk either as they have been awarded the James Beard Award in 2024 to the best midwest Chef, Christina Nguyen. This has been well earned as they have placed as finalists and semi-finalists in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2023. In addition, they've won American's best new restaurants as well. This place totally rocks the Southeast Asian street scene in style and you'll become a fan from first sight. Inspired by childhood meals growing up in Vietnam, traditional and new flavors that will truly open up Asian cuisine to a new level. So many dishes to choose from here but some favorites at Hai Hai include their Balinese Chicken Thighs, wide range of Cocktails, Sticky Rice Bowl, Salt and Pepper Tofu, Banh Xeo, Chicken Laab Lettuce Wraps, Water Fern Cakes, Beef Lettuce Rolls and much more.
