Hotel Ivanhoe featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives is truly a famous restaurant and saloon which is based out of Guy Fieri's hometown city of Ferndale in California. Hotel Ivanhoe was originally a stage coach stop many years ago and even a Mexican-style eatery in it's humble beginnings. In fact, Hotel Ivanhoe is the first place that Guy Fieri had a kitchen job, pretty cool fact indeed. Guy Fieri started off scraping the cheese from the Enchilada platters and was inspired to step it up from cleaning to cooking, which he did with tremendous success and it served as a stepping stone to his fame on the Food Network today. Hotel Ivanhoe opened back in the 1870's and has recently been fully restored and re-opened serving classical Italian-American dishes. The famous menu at Hotel Ivanhoe include their delicious Chicken Cacciatore which is the definition of comfort food. In addition, their Italian Sausage Risotto which is made from all-local ingredients and handmade to order.
