Really a rare and unique find to get a full and authentic menu, New Jersey style! Traditional dining here thanks to Chef Laing who was born and raised in the state of NJ. What's really cool about this place is the choice of over 30 different, delicious Cheese Steaks. Lots of great choices here as you can imagine. Another great catch here is their mouth-watering Chicken Salad Sandwich. There have been many Garden State classics over the years, but this spot has nailed them all right on the head. BUT, as the case comes up from time to time as we venture back to our favorite spots such as this one.. the iconic Jersey's Cafe has closed their doors for good. It's pretty tragic as it was always that spot you could count on for nice service and great food. Always filling and worth every penny. In fact, the servings were always beyond manageable, to say you left full is truly an understatement. We also loved the selection of old fashioned sodas they had here, nothing really beats the Black Cherry right? Toppings here are always thick and fresh, especially the meats which get slabbed on like it's Thanksgiving. When it comes to a great sandwich, this is the standard by which the rest should follow. Again, this spot will be missed as it was without question the Carmel destination for Cheese Steaks. Ahh, we can't forget about the amazing chili cheese fries they had as well.. we can taste them just thinking about it! Best of luck to the future for these fine folks.
