One of our favorite wine bars that also specialize in some terrific American style dishes that redefine comfort food as we know it. For nearly two decades, owners Kathy Lavelle and Frank Eagle have ran this Fairbanks staple with pride. It truly is the place in town to official wine and dine, as the clever saying goes. A wonderful fine dining selection in a warm and inviting atmosphere. As it's first and foremost a wine bar, you'll be glad to know that each and every meal here may be paired perfectly with the right wine of choice. Simply ask and get the right advice to ensure you make the best pairing for your visit. Food here is consistently great and that is essential - as often times other places are a hit and miss depending on the staff. So much to choose here and truly everything is wonderful, but some standouts continue to be their Apple Potato Halibut, Fried Oysters, Wings, Filet Mignon, Chicken Blue Cheese Apple Salads, Prime Rib, Fried Calamari, Black Bean Soup and more. Again, located at the Springhill Suites Marriott, it's a super place to bring a date or friends to enjoy a nice evening. Whether you want a quick bite, enjoy the game over some drinks, it's all here for you. If you need a break from the hustle and bustle of typical bar type restaurants, then this is your solution.
