Locations Guy Fieri visits in the USA - Places to eat comfort home-style, healthy, gourmet & fast food meals!
A really interesting story about this authentic British style pub as it was founded by two visiting Brits that decided to stay in America
and share their unique culinary skills. You have to try the genuine Alaskan Cod Fish and Chips or the Haggis Balls to feel like you're
truly in Britain itself. Bringing Mac's Fish & Chip Shop to the wonderful city of Santa Barbara is a feat on itself, and we're so grateful
that they decided to make the trek, investment and thousands of hours making it a reality. But, as we tend to do as the years pass by,
we must inform our readers that Mac's Fish & Chip Shop has closed their doors several years ago to the public. It's quite disappointing
as nothing of it's kind was there before or has filled the massive culinary hole it left behind. Sure you can find your basic Fish and
Chips quite easily these days, but nothing as original as the English authentic version these fine folks served on a the daily. Fish was
always moist and the portions were more than generous as well. Very filling and delicious from start to finish. Other favorites here for
us included their homemade Clam Chowder, Coleslaw made from scratch in-house, homemade Tartar sauce, Haggis which you must absolutely
try at least once in your lifetimes and the trademark British Chips (American Fries). This spot will be dearly missed, that's for sure.
