Chef Wick has really made a mark for himself with his culinary masterpiece found here at Mahony's Po-Boy Shop. If you're a fan of Po-Boys, are want a proper introduction then you must stop by here which is available through 22 different and delicious varieties. We approve of all, especially the Peace Maker which is always great introduction to this food. New Orleans has many things going for it but it usually does come down to wholesome Southern Comfort foods and these folks have figured it out just right. The boys are truly loaded and stacked with so many mouth watering ingredients that you'll fill up to the rim. This counter service stop has been creating sandwich goodness for years. If you're not familiar, well it's pretty basic folks - it's all about the traditional sandwich born in Louisiana and made world famous by restaurants such as this. They've actually been the tradition dating back to the 1800's. What makes this spot stand out from the rest is not only their use of fresh and always local ingredients, but the secret family recipes that give each sandwich that finishing touch. But hey, if you're not in the mood for one of their famous Po Boys, they also have a wonderful menu of delicious comfort foods that can only be found in New Orleans. It's one of our favorite brunch spots when strolling around town. They are always very courteous here and will never rush you. If you feel like stopping by for a cold drink and a relaxed visit, that's completely fine. Again.. come hungry or prepared to share a meal, the portions here are HUGE!
