Watch episode 'Bringin' It Home' in season 9
With a convenient location near downtown Honolulu, it's a great place to relax, have a drink and a great bite to
eat. Be prepared; however, that you won't find any Hawaiian type cuisine here, instead look for Shepherd's Pie
or Murphy's Best Corned Beef & Cabbage specialty. Also, don't forget your Guinness to wash it all down as it's
tradition. It's your typical saloon and eatery restaurant but very untypical for the island of course. But by
no means are they new to the scene.. as they've been here since 1891! Locals and mariners swarm here daily as
it's not just a staple yet a local legend in the culinary scene here. Since 1987 when Don Murphy purchased the
joint, it's a little bit of his Irish homeland right here smack in the middle of Honolulu. For those whom
appreciate a good beverage, you'll love their selection of 16 unique beers on tap. It's probably expanded since
our last visit. They are open each and every day for dinner and lunch meals. It's also our favorite place on
the island that is non-touristy, fairly priced and just a great spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. A
straight forward menu that has a bit of something for everyone. Service is always great here and most importantly
happy. They truly are happy to be there and serve you.. so it makes the whole experience much appreciated.
