We'll be completely honest with you guys and tell you that the secret to this locations' tremendous success over the many years, is very clear. The one and only, legendary.. Chef Asbaty! This award winning and famed Chef has brought his Italian culinary skills to this windy city to pump out authentic classics such as the Crescentina. Or, his trademark signature dish here, the loaded Meatball Sandwich. So good, without question one of the best we've had from anywhere in our worldly travels. There is a reason they live by the simple philosophy of "Eat. Drink. Live. Italian!" It's an experience unlike any other you've been through, and a spot that will become a regular pit stop when in the city of Chicago. In our view, Panozzo's Italian Market can also be easily categorized as simply a chef-driven neighborhood market. We'd love to see one of these in each city of the world, yet that would take away the magic of this place. Everything here is sourced fresh and locally and often organic when possible. Everything comes down to the start of ingredients, the dishes are built up from that. From that strong and steady base, everything is possible. While there may be many great Sandwich spots in Chicago, this should be at the top of your list when you visit. Plenty of delicious options, you'll easily find something to fall in love with.
