About SCHOOLHOUSE
Perhaps one of the more unique locations for a restaurant we've come across in our culinary adventures around the globe.
Camp Dennison School which is where this spot is housed, was originally built in 1864 and was then used as a schoolhouse
up to the year 1952. The Miller family then went on to transform the spot into the restaurant we have today from the year
1962. It's your All-American style restaurant with classic, homestyle comfort foods which most of us grew up with. Family
run to this day, you are made welcome and truly at home when you visit here. Plenty of great finds here with new items
popping up seasonally. Some favorites include their Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie, Fried Chicken, Country Fried Steak,
Blackberry Vodka Lemonade, Roast Beef, Sweet Cornbread, Peach Cobbler, Meatloaf and more. Portions here are huge, menu
is written on a chalkboard, service is fantastic and prices more than fair. A traditional spot that everyone needs to
visit at least once in their lifetimes.
