About SHIRLEY'S TIPPY CANOE

With such a great location right off the Sandy river, Shirley's Tippy Canoe is an amazing restaurant which truly delivers in every sense of the word when it comes to retro dining. The Shirley's Tippy Canoe location was a logger stop back in the early 1930's and when you arrive you can still feel every bit of that history today. It has been completely renovated in recent years to take it to the modern age and without question it's a place we recommend to you when in Troutdale. The two unforgettable choices at Shirley's Tippy Canoe which we can surely suggest from the menu include their homemade Polish Dip as well as the freshly prepared Sloppy Joes that are perhaps everyone's favorite here. However, as all good things must come to an end, it was brought to our attention that Shirley's Tippy Canoe had closed their doors for the last time and are no longer in operation. As per reporting, the location went up in fire in 2020 but has been rumored to be up for sale. Either way, no other spot has such a unique and long history as this place, once referred to a rough-and-tumble biker bar. Reminiscing, we also look back fondly at their custom omelettes, the Seafood Platter, BBQ Sandwiches offered during happy hours, amazing Chowders and more.
