If you're a fan of food from Peru, then this Chicago establishment delivers the pure and authentic dishes
you are looking for, or have grown up with. We highly suggest you dig in to the Sauteed Rib Eye with French
Fries, Stuffed Potatoes or the tender Beef Heart that may sound intimidating at first yet will melt your own
heart with goodness. This full service Peruvian spot has been a hot spot in Chicago for generations.
They also follow the Bring Your Own Beer (BYOB) philosophy which we're always in favor of. Easily located
in a strip mall, there is plenty of parking and you can do some shopping before or after as well. You'll
also appreciate the native folk music that sets the ton of Peru and will transport you to a different world.
When here, you'll experience a blend of cultures which range from Spanish, Asiatic and African influences.
Cesar Izquierdo was the heart of this restaurant and it all started when he moved over to American in the
mid-70's. 1988 the doors opened in this Chicago neighborhood and they continue to fill their seats each
and every day with return and new customers. Food is always fresh and as you would imagine, prepared to
order with daily picked ingredients. Service is extremely friendly yet never overly pushy. Without any
hesitation, this is an incredible spot that you shouldn't pass up.
