Tavern on 2 is an awesome place to find the best selection of well over 50 craft beers, wines and all-around American food when visiting Long Beach, CA. Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives visited this gem back in 2014 and it set the popularity for Tavern on 2 for year to come. Tavern on 2 is your typical gastropub which has evidently made a dent in the food industry with it's excellent service and fantastic menu. Gastrobars today are becoming quite popular and we're proud to say that these guys do it the right way and pave the way forward. In our visit, we saw plenty of organic, sustainable ingredients used here throughout the fantastic menu. There are plenty of amazing things to order at Tavern on 2. However, the top three in our experience which we'll suggest are their Belly & Sucker, Shortrib Poutine and Sticky Pigtails. In addition, other items such as their Beef Oxtail Poutine, Maple or Cinnamon Bread Pudding, Mac 'n Cheese, Black N' Blue Burger, Homemade Potato Chips, Spicy Chicken Wings are also to be ordered. However, as sometimes happens to our Triple-D spots, Tavern on 2 has closed their doors for good in 2022. It was without question one of our very favorite spots and it will surely be sorely missed.
