Located in the East Village area of Manhattan, you'll be glad to have made the journey to visit one of our favorite Big Apple eateries. A great addition of Southern cooking to the city of New York in our experience. For starters, the perfect appetizer to get here is the Homemade Pretzels with Beer Cheese that just makes your heart melt with each dip and bite. This, followed up with their incredible Bacon Peanut Brittles is just a match made in foodie heaven. But, once again our hearts break that we have to share the bade new with you reading this now. Seems that this popular East Village comfort food favorite has shut it's doors at the end of 2016. After a mere decade of amazing service which took Fried Chicken to NYC by storm, it was forced to close down for good. The bar restaurant that each city should have in our opinion, will no doubt leave big gap that might never be filled. Always a great assortment of comfort foods offered in a lively yet small atmosphere, paired with fair prices and excellent service. There is always that one neighborhood spot that all the locals go to, that has amazing food service and priced fairly that we all seek for, this was it. Not many other places North of the South even came close to putting together Cheesy Grits such as The Redhead. Again, if you've had the chance to visit The Redhead while it was open, consider yourselves on of the few lucky ones.
