we love this open kitchen concept of this now world famous Italian kitchen found in the windy city of Chicago. Diners,
Drive-Ins and Dives made a stop by this gem in 2024 and it quickly became one of the highlights of the network with the Italian foodie scene. Run by a husband and
wife team that was destined to create this masterpiece through their love and passion for cooking and of course their relationship. It's a perfect combination that
makes Tortello shine bright. Dario Monni and Jill Gray have created one of the best Italian menu's outside of Italy itself and we highly recommend you pay them a
visit when in the state of Illinois. For those new to the counter-service style of dining, you'll quickly realize how personable, friendly and effective it is. At
Tortello, the highest quality of ingredients are used through local sources to bring a simple yet incredible final food menu to the customer. Everything here including
the pasta is made fresh on-site, from scratch each and every day. Freshness and authenticity that would find in Italy itself is found here. Throughout our visits
to Tortello, some memorable dishes include their Tagliattelle Tina, Busiate alla Puttanesca, Spaghetti Straciatella, Busiate alla puttanesca and much more. Really
a hidden gem but not for too long as word spreads.
